After drifting violently for eons upon eons, this microbial multitude gradually began to expand in all directions across the planet. In a world without animals, plants, fungi, or concepts, algae managed to compose a magical, technological, and complex form of sociability. A tropical neogothic blooms within this aquatic singularity—a humid gothic woven from life and death.
